It’s the start of football season for the four local LHSAA schools tonight, as the group begins what each team hopes will be a long, successful season that takes them into December and concludes with them hoisting a state title trophy on the floor of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

Tonight, two of those teams are playing at home and the two are playing close by in St. Tammany Parish.

Pine and Varnado are hosting games tonight. Pine is taking on Central Catholic while Varnado is playing Albany.

Bogalusa is heading to Northlake Christian School in Covington, while Franklinton is traveling to face Covington High School.

Switching leagues, it’s week three for MAIS schools.

Locally, Bowling Green is at home while Ben’s Ford Christian School is on the road.

Bowling Green faces Silliman Institute while Ben’s Ford is traveling to Amite School Center.

Good luck to all six schools tonight.
