All 6 high school teams to play in parish

It’s rare enough and convenient when all six Washington Parish football teams are playing in the parish, but tonight is even better for fans of local schools.

Tonight, all six teams are playing in Washington Parish — only they’ll be in just two locations with two on the eastside of the parish and four on the west side.

On the eastside, a pair of parish teams square off in week two of the MAIS regular season when Ben’s Ford Christian School hosts Bowling Green School. Ben’s Ford is coming off of a 35-6 win over New Orleans Home School while Bowling Green came up short in a 27-14 loss to Park Place Christian Academy last week.

The four LHSAA schools are headed to Franklinton to compete in the Our Lady of the Angels Washington Parish Jamboree.

Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m., as the teams have one final tune-up before the regular season begins a week from today.

The first game features Bogalusa and Varnado while the second will feature Franklinton and Pine.

All four teams played in scrimmages last week.

It should be a fun night in the parish for all, so get out to the games and enjoy yourself.
