Richard E. Pittman, a lifelong dialysis patient 37 years at Davita Kidney Care of Bogalusa, died Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017, at the home of his sister.

He is survived by three sisters, Bobbie (Eld. James) Gholar of Tylertown, Miss., Mildred Pittman and Ida P. Warren of Bogalusa; one brother, Benjamin Pittman, over many years three brothers he gained, Bernie Brennan, Travis Thomas and Larry Varnado of Bogalusa; and his caretaker, Kieth Holmes of Bogalusa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ms. Eddie M. Pittman, Mr. Seymour Brown; two brothers, David Earl Pittman and Nelvis O’Neal Pittman.

Viewing will be Saturday, Aug. 26, at 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. at Cook-Richmond Funeral Home with Elder Larry Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Bogalusa Cemetery.
