Dear Editor,

We, the Bogalusa Little League, would like to take this time to thank everyone that gave to help send our 13-and-14-year-old Louisiana state champions to New Mexico to participate in the regional tournament.

We understand that some were not able to give financially, but the words, encouragement, and prayers were welcomed with welcome arms. The players represented Bogalusa and the state of Louisiana to the best of their abilities, but came up short.

This was a valuable learning experience that was given to our youth. The trip was made possible by both past and present citizens of Bogalusa. We also received help from neighboring parish citizens, and caring individuals from afar. Your kind gestures of love were greatly appreciated.

Again, thank you for your support. Hopefully in the next year, we will be able to advance to the next step.
