On the evening of Friday, July 7, at 3:15 p.m. at Lakeview Regional Medical Center, the Lord reached down and touched Edgar Magee and said come on home.

He leaves to cherish his memories to his wife, Verna L. Johnson; one son, Frederick A, Magee; two daughters, Donesha S. Magee and Shakema L. Magee, both of Seattle, Wash.; four brothers, Calvin (Almeta) Magee, Larry (Marilyn) Magee, Albert (Francis) Magee, all of Franklinton, and Runell (Elnora) Magee of Renton, Wash.; one sister, Winona James of Franklinton; his only grandchild, Dorian Magee Petty of Seattle; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Brunell Magee and Gussie Lee Martin; two brothers, Edward Charles Magee and James Troy Magee.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 15, at 11 p.m. at New Jerusalem Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Causey, pastor, and the Rev. Larry Magee officiating. Interment will be at Magee Cemetery.
