The Fourth of July weekend is here.

It’s that holiday in the middle of summer where celebration takes place as our country celebrates its 241st birthday.

Hopefully we have great weather this weekend, as many will be celebrating with barbeque, fireworks and all.

Besides all of the celebrations that will take place this weekend, the holiday is also a time of reflection. Please take a moment to remember those who have fought for our freedom.

Programs will be held throughout the parish celebrating our country and hopefully large crowds will gather to help them celebrate.

Also, if you are going to drink this weekend, please get a designated driver.
