Billy Ray Parker, 84, a resident of Bogalusa, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2017, at his home in Bogalusa. He was born on Oct. 12, 1932, in Isabel.

He is survived by his wife, Melva Louise Parker of Bogalusa; two daughters, Kathleen Wheat, and Betty Watson, both of Bogalusa; grandchildren, Kimberly Degen, Alicia Degen, Kay Evans, Jason Watson, Tracey Grande, Albert Joseph Stewart Jr., Rodney Stewart, Rebetha Stewart and John Stewart; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Alice Degen; his mother, Lillie Parker; and his brothers, Albert Stewart Sr., Donald Ray Stewart, and Lynn Parker.

Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Friday, June 23, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. The funeral services will begin at 3 p.m. Interment will be held at Plainview Baptist Church Cemetery.
