This upcoming week is a chance for athletes to learn more about their favorite sports without having to travel far, as several camps are taking place across Washington Parish.
In all, four clinics, covering three sports, are taking place. Two of them are multi-day camps and two others going on for one day.
A pair of one-day clinics are being held in Bogalusa.
On Thursday, The Legends All-Pro Football Camp is being held from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Lewis V. Murray Jr. Stadium on the campus of Bogalusa High School.

Not far from BHS, the Sports Work Academy Basketball Camp is being held at the YMCA just two days later.
The cost is $20 and registration begins at 8:30 a.m. on the day of the camp. For more information, call Michael Galloway at 678-458-3326 or visit www.sportsworkacademyllc.yolasite.com.
Moving west, Pine High School is hosting the 2017 Raider Basketball Camp from Monday through Thursday, in the school’s gym.

The cost is $65 and you can get more information by calling Pine’s girls basketball coach Mary McGinnis at 985-848-5243.
Continuing west, at Franklinton High School, the Total Skills Softball Camp is being held from Monday through Friday, for participants ages 5-14.
The fee for all-day campers is $100 and for half-day participants it is $50.
The all-day campers go from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. and half-day participants are there from 8 a.m. through noon. You can find out more by calling Franklinton coach Leslie McGhee at 985-516-0224.
