Congratulations, graduates — aim high!

The Daily News would like to congratulate all 2017 graduates, both from high schools in Washington Parish and from area colleges. You all did a good job, and some of you did a great job. We wish you well. May your future endeavors be the stuff of your dreams. And Dream Big! That’s how you can help make your dreams come true.

You have now succeeded at getting through high school and are headed off to college or to a job. Both are huge steps in this life.

You may no longer live with your parents or any siblings. Now your patterns must change, and you need to take full responsibility for your actions. And that can be scary.

Or you have just gotten through college and must start making your own way through life. That can be really scary, too.

But we have great faith in you! You can do anything you set your mind on. You just proved that, and you’re going to keep on proving it. If you want to be a doctor or a scientist, just consider it done.

If you want to be a star performer, imagine that you already are a star. If you want to be a mathematician, think of yourself as one, and you’re halfway there. You can do this! Have faith!

Congratulations again to the class of 2017.
