Emma White was called to home by the heavenly father Jesus Christ on Dec. 23, 2016, at Oschner Hospital in New Orleans.

She was born in 1948 in Angie in the bond of the late Jerry and Francis Moses.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Francis Moses; son, Marcus L. Whitson; and grandson, Jeremiah Menard White.

She leaves to cherish her memories: daughter, Nydeia C. White; two sons; grandsons, Marcus Whitson and Leshon Whitson; one granddaughter, Nia White; brothers, Eddie-Will (Cathy) Moses, James Alton (Dorothy) Moses, Elder Charles (Martha) Moses, Leonard (Flora) Moses, Anderson (Merlie) Moses; and sister, Mildred Rivers.

Viewing to the public will be Saturday, Dec. 31, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Cook-Richmond Funeral Home and a family hour from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. The funeral service will be Sunday, Jan. 1, at 2 p.m. at Holy Temple in Varnado. Elder Leslie Fields will be doing the eulogy.
