Jerry Sheridan

Mr. Jerry Leon Sheridan, of Varnado, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 30, 2016.

He was born on July 1, 1954, in Varnado, to Olivia Sheridan-Nichols and Nebuchadnezzar Sheridan. Mr. Sheridan served in the U.S. Army for over 20 years and then worked for many years in New Jersey before retiring back home in Varnado.

He was a loving father and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Olivia Sheridan-Nichols and Nebuchadnezzar Sheridan.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his daughters, Olivia Lafaith Sheridan-Peavy and husband Darrell, Mildred Yvette Sheridan and Sharolyn Natasha Brown; sons, Jerry Leon Williams and Jerry Sheridan and 10 grandchildren; sisters, Hester Clark and Augusta Gbani; brothers-in-law, Terry Clark and Lionel Brown; immediate aunts, Ella Rose Morris, Edgie (Hollis) Peters and Mamie Sheridan-Harry; immediate uncles, Anthony Wayne Morris, Paul Morris and Delaurl Morris; nephews, James Jr. (Spunky), Solomon Sheridan, Malcolm Gaines (deceased) and Terry Jr.(Andre); Nieces: Chelethia (Cookie) Gaines-Terrell, Terrin (TK) Clark, Aminata Gbani and Trenica Gbani; nieces-in-law, Chermayne Holloway-Gaines and Latasha Sheridan; great nieces, Meonia, Jordan, Akalya, Tiona, Cameron, Destiny, Anniya (Greta), Mecca; Te’yana (Birdie) Sheridan, Arianna (Pinky) Sheridan and Deaja Sheridan; great-nephews, Xavier, Elijah, Jeremiah, Jaden, Daniel, Tyrique, Nesai and Jordan; his traveling buddies, Rochelle Pigot, Helen Jean and Carrie Mae Harry; and too many to name additional aunts, uncles, cousins and devoted friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Nov. 12, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by the funeral service starting at 11 a.m. at Crain and Son Funeral Home in Bogalusa, with the Rev. Lindsay Ray Cotton officiating.

Mr. Sheridan will be laid to rest at Robinson Cemetery.
