Edward Lumpkin

Edward “Eddy Moe” William Lumpkin, 60, a former resident of Bogalusa and a resident of Denham Springs, born on March 29, 1956, in Bogalusa, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2016, at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge.
He worked for Entex and Entergy for many years and was recently retired. He was a 1974 graduate of Bogalusa High School and a graduate of Louisiana State University. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve for 10 years as a captain, company commander and quartermaster. Eddy Moe’s favorite pastime was spending time at the camp on the Pearl River. His favorite quote was, “The only way to have a friend is to be one,” and he lived that out every day.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Delcambre Lumpkin of Denham Springs; three sons, Adam Lumpkin (Laken Lassley) of Albany, Brad Arsaga of Tucson, Ariz., and Gregory Arsaga (Jennifer) of Austin, Texas; one daughter, Adrienne Arsaga Watson (Tommy) of Walker; one brother, Jason Lumpkin (Ann) of Waveland, Miss.; and five grandchldren, Ava Lumpkin, Olivia Lumpkin, Caleb Watson, Blake Watson and Braeden Watson.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Lumpkin Jr. and Mary Frances “Mollie” Lumpkin.
Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Friday, Oct. 28, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation will continue at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Bobby Ready officiating. Interment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens.
