Take advantage of early voting availability

In today’s hectic world, it can be hard to find the time to accomplish simple tasks. However, one of our greatest responsibilities as citizens is to find the time to vote. The good news is, that there are more opportunities than ever to make this important choice.

Although the official Election Day is not until Tuesday, Nov. 8, Louisiana voters can already take advantage of early voting. This early voting period continues today (it actually started yesterday) and runs through Tuesday, Nov. 1.

Early voting locations in Washington Parish are the Washington Parish Courthouse in Franklinton, and Northshore Community Technical College’s Sullivan campus in Bogalusa. Early voting is 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., except Sundays and holidays.

In addition to the president’s race, many local voters will also give their input on races for U.S. Senate, Franklinton aldermen, Angie aldermen, Bogalusa District D city council and constitutional amendments, among other issues.

If you can’t make it on Election Day in November, take advantage of the multiple early voting opportunities to cast your vote now.
