The Bowling Green Lady Buccaneers softball team is heading to the 2016 South AAA Fast-Pitch Tournament.

The event starts tomorrow and continues Monday at Silliman Institute.

Bowling Green had a good District 5AAA season, recording a 5-3 record on their way to the double-elimination tournament.

They begin their run in the tournament at 9 a.m. tomorrow against Columbia Academy.

The winner faces the victor of the Adams County Christian School-Central Private School contest. The team that gets defeated in the Bowling Green-Columbia game plays the losing squad from the Adams County Christian School-Central Private contest.

Hopefully, when they are done playing in this tourney, they will have qualified for the Class AAA Tournament next weekend. The top four teams advance.
