The Labor Day weekend is here, and for many, that means a much-needed extra day off to rest and relax.

It’s a weekend where you can just kick back and enjoy the extra time off, as fall is just around the corner.

We’re in a great time of year. Several high school sports have begun their seasons, as they attempt to reach the playoffs and capture titles.

One of the events taking place this weekend is tomorrow, as the Angie Pee Wee Football Organization is hosting a fundraiser for the Pee Wee Cheerleaders and football players. It takes place from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Varnado High School, near the football field.

They are raising money by having a dinner sale. The price is $8 without a drink and $9 with one.

So go out and have fun, enjoy the time off, but do so safely and be sure to support the local athletes.
