We know that the Bogalusa Blues and Heritage Festival is a can’t-miss event each year, and now people across the state are learning about it as well.

Recently, the website LouisianaTravel.com made its list of top 10 festivals in Louisiana, and the BBHF made that list.

The website’s authors wrote: “Although a new event, the inaugural Bogalusa Blues and Heritage Festival generated a lot of buzz and was named New Event of the Year by the Louisiana Association of Fairs and Festivals.  The September festival pays tribute to Bogalusa’s amazingly rich music history.”

Some of the other events on the list included the Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival and the French Quarter Festival in New Orleans. Mardi Gras-related events were not eligible.

It is always wonderful for our city to get positive publicity, and we can hardly wait for this year’s festival in September.
