Lillie Walters

Lillie Mae Chain Walters, 62, of Franklinton, died Friday evening, July 8, 2016, at her home.

She enjoyed reading, especially her favorite novelist Stephen King. She had a large and varied rooster collection and she always loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by: her husband, Robert Dale Walters of Franklinton; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen Dale and Jennifer Walters of Franklinton; three grandchildren, Reagan Walters, Meagan Walters and Layton Walters; six brothers, William “Bill” Bonin, Yancy Chain, Michael Chain, Ronald Chain, Danny Chain and Rickey Chain; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleon Chain and Jeralene Money Chain; a sister, Kathy Chain; and a brother, Arthur “A.C.” Chain.

Visitation was at Crain Funeral Home on Sunday, July 10, from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. and after 9 a.m. on Monday, July 11. A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Joe Kelly and Dr. Stan Statham officiating. Burial followed in the Rushing Cemetery near Tylertown, Miss.

Pallbearers were John Chain, Lawrence Chain, Derek Chain, Reggie Stewart, Richard Chain and Michael Mitchell.
