David K. Brown

Mr. David Kenner Brown was born Aug. 16, 1958, to the parentage of Mary Armstrong Robinson and Oless Brown in Bogalusa.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Joseph May and the Rev. Wesley Cyprian Sr.; and a sister, Elizabeth May.

He is survived by his brothers, Douglas May (Los Angeles, Calif.), Hollis Brown, Clyde (Jackie) Brown and Howard Brown of Bogalusa; sisters, Bobby J. Cyprian, Mary Alice Laurent, Jeanette Brown and Aunt Georgia Robinson, all of Bogalusa, and Mrs. Arula Wallace of Los Angeles; and sisters-in-law, Gloria Mark of Benton Harbor, Mich., Georgia (Jerome) Short, and Pat Cyprian of Bogalusa.

David met and married the love of his life, Ms. Sue Mark Brown, and to that union one son was born, Kenner R. Brown.

God-children are Renada Brown and Tramaine Johnson, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

David was a graduate of the Bogalusa High School class of 1977. He was employed by the Bogalusa City Schools system until his health began to fail.

On Jan. 1, 2016, God, in His infinite wisdom, called David to a place of rest, where there is no death, sorrow, pain or tears.

Visitation is Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Cook-Richmond Funeral Home chapel. The funeral is Saturday, Jan. 9, at 11 a.m. at Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church, with pastor Raymond Mims officiating.
