Eleanor Theresa Barker

Eleanor Theresa “Ellie” Barker, 82, born on June 8, 1933, in Clinton, Mass., passed away on Friday, Dec. 18, 2015 at her residence in Bogalusa.

She was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church, a volunteer Pink Lady for 25 years at LSU Medical Center and she retired from the Bogalusa City School System.

She is survived by three daughters, Karen (Alban) Bush of Pine, Terri Graham of League City, Texas, and Ellie Lomzenski of Covington; seven grandchildren, Heather Bush Seal, Kayla Bush Thompson, David Graham Jr., Tara Graham, Stacey Lively Baughman, Hannah Lomzenski and John-Michael Lomzenski; four great-grandchildren, Payton Grace Bush, Madelyn Ann Seal, Lucy Elizabeth Thompson and Brycen Edward Baughman; two sisters, Mary Duckett of Lagrange, Ill., and Grace Lynch of Clinton, Mass.

She is preceded in death by her husband, George R. Barker Sr.; a daughter, Brenda Lively; a son, George R. Barker Jr.; and a grandson, Joshua B. Lively.

Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Saturday, Dec. 19, from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a Rosary at 6 p.m.

Visitation will continue at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, Dec. 20, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Marcus Rosa and the Rev. Jeff Barker officiating. Entombment to follow at Sanctuary of Peace Mausoleum in Ponemah Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be David Graham, John-Michael Lomzenski, Brad Lively, Blake Baughman, Justin Thompson and John Seal.

The family would like to express a special thanks to Hospice of St. Tammany. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of St. Tammany.
