Waynard Fussell

Waynard Fussell, age 80, born on Jan.14, 1935, in Franklinton, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2015, at his residence in Baton Rouge.
He was a veteran and served in the United States Air Force. He was a member of Monroe Street Baptist Church. He retired from Crown Zellerbach.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy “Dot” Fussell; his parents, Delma Colden Fussell and Lura Mae Bateman Fussell; and a brother, Colden Rutland.
He is survived by one daughter, Patricia Pierce of Sun; two sons, John Fussell of Mandeville and Jack Fussell of Denham Springs; a sister, Carrie (Mike) Lewis of Birmingham, Ala.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Saturday, June 27, 2015, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Dennis Allen officiating. The interment will follow at Magee Cemetery.
