Minnie Lou Marshall, age 70 and a resident of Kentwood, passed away Sunday, Sept. 7, 2014, at Riverside Medical Center in Franklinton.

She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Demetrius Shawn Buford of Hammond and Troy Anthony Heard of Mt. Hermon; two sisters, Erma Carson of Kentwood and Audrey Taylor of Beaumont, Texas; four brothers, James Brumfield of Mt. Hermon, Gregory Brumfield of New Orleans, Oliver Brumfield and Loucis Charles Brumfield, both of Kentwood; one grandson, Jarmarcus Deshawn Watson, and a host of relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hermon and Mae Ella Brumfield; two sisters, Lucrettia Briggs and Maxine Brumfield; and two brothers, Willie Edgar Brumfield and Delmas Brumfield.

Visitation will be Friday, Sept., 12, 2014, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton.

The funeral service will be Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, with the Rev. George Butler, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Olive Cemetery. Crain and Sons Funeral Home of Franklinton is in Charge of arrangements.
