Penney Lou Purvis, age 60, passed away May 26, 2014, at Northshore Specialty Hospital. She was a resident of Bush and a retired schoolteacher.
She is survived by a nephew, Jeff Purvis of Houston, a great-nephew, Seth Purvis of Bogalusa, and a great-niece, Macy Purvis of Bogalusa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis and Audrey Purvis, and a brother, Malcolm Purvis.
Visitation was held in the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Thursday, May 29, 2014, from 9 a.m. until time for services in the chapel at 11 a.m. Burial was in Galloway Cemetery at Bush. The Rev. Jim Thornhill officiated.
