JENKINS

Kim Ann Ledet Jenkins, 54, a resident of the Thomas Community, died at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2014, at Community Specialty Hospital in Lafayette.

Born on Nov. 13, 1959, Kim enjoyed working crossword puzzles and liked playing solitaire. Her favorite daytime soap opera was “Days of Our Lives,” which she watched every day. She often played the lottery and Publisher’s Clearing House knowing that her lucky day would come. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Terry Jenkins of Thomas; a daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Nicholus Jones of Thomas; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Brandon and Tabitha Ledet of the Bonner Creek Community and Blake Jenkins of Thomas; six grandchildren, Chloe Dement, McKenna Ledet, Kaitlyn Ledet, Jasmine Ledet, Estella Ledet and Jeremy Jones; her mother, Dora Lee Authement of Franklinton; her father and stepmother, Neil Ledet Sr. and Geraldine Ledet of Thomas; a brother and sister-in-law, Neil “Butch” Ledet Jr. and Pamela Ledet of Franklinton; a sister-in-law, T.C. Ledet; two nieces, Michelle Ledet and Heidi (Chris) Larsen; a great-nephew, Caiden Larsen; and numerous cousins and other family members.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Victor Ledet; a stepdaughter, Holly Jenkins; and a stepfather, Ronald Authement.

A memorial service for family and friends will be planned at a later date.
