LUPER

Mary Ann Penton Luper, 68, a resident of Angie, died at 8:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2, 2013, at Riverside Medical Center.

Born March 19, 1945, she was a longtime member of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church and a retired truck driver with Western Dairy Transportation. She was always a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by a daughter, Juwana Jesse Conner of Shuqualak, Miss.; two sons, Craig (Ann) Luper and Kevin Sheret Luper, both of Pine; eight grandchildren and spouses, Theresa and Lamar Alsobrooks, Jay Conner, Bobby and Sarah Riggs, Christopher and Leighann Luper, Lane and Jessica Luper, T.J. and Heather Luper, Logan and Brittany Seals and Raven and Scott Martin; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy L. Luper; her parents, John Wilson Penton and Ruby Dean Taylor Penton; and a brother, Corbett W. Penton.

Visitation will be Sunday, Aug. 4 at Crain Funeral Home from 6-9 p.m., and will continue on Monday from 8 a.m. until time for the funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m., with Bro. Brent King and Bro. Darren Uzel officiating. Burial will follow in Harmony Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers are grandsons Bobby Riggs, Christopher Luper, T.J. Luper, Lane Luper, Jay Conner, Logan Seals, Scott Martin and Lamar Alsobrooks. Her nephew, Randall Penton, is an honorary pallbearer.
