Mr. and Mrs. Leo Mickenheim, Jr. of Bogalusa are proud to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Jennifer Leigh Mickenheim, to Dr. Aaron Stuart Blom, son of Dr. and Mrs. David Blom of Vineland, N.J.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Mickenheim, Sr. of Bogalusa and the late Lureal and Doyle McKenzie. She is a graduate of St. Scholastica Academy and Louisiana State University with a bachelor’s degree of nursing. A registered nurse she is currently pursuing a master’s degree at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pa.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Esther Jaffe of Lantana, Fla. and the late Leopold Jaffe, the late Samuel Blom, the late Sarah Blom Krause, and Theodore Krause of Vineland. He is a graduate of Germantown Friends School and the University of Pennsylvania. He obtained an MBA from St. Joseph’s University and is a graduate of Pennsylvania College of Medicine. He is a surgeon currently practicing in the Philadelphia area.

The couple will exchange wedding vows on May 18 in a 6 p.m. ceremony at the Ritz Carlton in Laguna Niguel, Calif.
