Dan Martin “Marty” Voelkel, 54, a resident of Slidell born April 17, 1958, passed away Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012 at Heritage Manor of Slidell.

He is survived by two sisters, Reta Fornea of Angie and Virginia Voelkel of Madisonville; a stepbrother, Kenny Voelkel of New Orleans; an aunt, Barbara Seals of Franklinton; an uncle, Eugene Seals of Purvis, Miss.; and four nieces, Garnet Fornea, Brandy Fornea Spike, Kayla Fornea Williams and Greta Colleen Voelkel.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
