Timothy Daniel Jacob Jr., 23, passed away Monday, July 30, 2012. He was born Sept. 16, 1988, which was the happiest day of his parents’ lives.
He was employed at Hercules Offshore. He had a compassion and love of nature and animals, and enjoyed to cook and play video games. From the time he was born, he was known for his great generosity to all. We will miss you so very badly, Tim. You leave behind a huge hole in our lives and hearts. God keep you in his living arms.
He is survived by his parents, Timothy Daniel Jacob Sr. and Paulette Haaga Jacob; his son, Daniel Aiden Jacob; his grandmother, Mary Haaga; his sisters and brother-in-law, Pamela and John Meisner and Erica Young; and his nephews and niece, Storm and Braeden Meisner and Gabrielle Young, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by his lifelong pet of 17 years, a Quaker parakeet named Kiwi, whom he loved very much.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leo and Mildred Jacob and Val Haaga, and his nephew, Elijah Meisner.
Visitation was held Wednesday, Aug. 1 at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a rosary at 5:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass was held Thursday at St. Joseph’s Abbey in Covington at 2 p.m., celebrated by Father Jude Isreal. Interment followed at St. Joseph’s Abbey Cemetery in Covington.
