Jimmy and Diana Stuart of Pine are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Angela Michelle Stuart, to Kenneth Lavon Martin Jr., son of Kenneth and Lori Martin, of Thomas.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of A.C. and Doris Rogers, Bevie Simmons and the late Lavon Stuart and Bobby Adams, all of Pine. A 2009 graduate of Pine High School, she will be starting at Southwest Mississippi Community College in August, where she will pursue an associate’s degree in nursing.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Ernest and Dorothy Martin and Lorell Spears, all of Thomas, and the late Lawrence Taylor Sr. of Loranger. He attended the University of New Orleans where he received a degree in mechanical engineering. He has served in the National Guard for 11 years, and is currently the XO at 843’d EN CO.

The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, Aug. 4 at Fair City Event Center in Franklinton.
