Resthaven Living Center is excited to announce two events in one day, to help both the community and Resthaven residents cope during the COVID-19 pandemic.

On Tuesday, there will be a “Drive-through Prayer” as well as a “Drive Up and Wave Parade.”

The parade will start at 10:08 a.m. Resthaven staff will assist available residents to the parking lot. The staff encourages all of Resthaven’s families, friends, and community members to drive by, shout hello, and show support and love for the residents.

Immediately following the parade, the drive-through prayer will start at 10:38 a.m.

Resthaven would like to have as many participants as possible.

If you are a pastor of a church or organization that would like to participate in the prayer, contact Tasha McCree at 985-732-3909. Resthaven would like for groups to come on the 8’s — between 10:38 a.m. and 3:38 p.m.

Resthaven would also ask for all pastors and preachers and other God-called men to arrive at 9:45 a.m., to stand and circle the facility to begin praying before the parade.

Resthaven’s staff asks for everyone to keep in mind the message of Romans 8:28 — “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

Please remember to stay in your cars at all times. Social distancing is a must, to protect the residents.
