Classmates present food boxes to seniors

The Central Memorial High School Class of 1968 recently elected new officers, including president Lloyd Meekins and vice president Geraldine Robinson.

The activity coordinator, April Dupre King, selected two senior citizens from the Washington Parish Council on Aging, from both locations in Bogalusa and Franklinton. Both seniors received a box of Thanksgiving foods from the Class of 1968.

The two seniors selected were Percy Payne of Franklinton and Bernice Jenkins of Bogalusa. Jenkins is “93 years young,” as the classmates said.

Other participants who made the giveaway a success were Nancy McBeth, executive supervisor April D. King, Lloyd Meekins, Geraldine Robinson, Cleo Young Spurlock, Andree Johnson, Bertha Whittine Harry, Elaine Brown, Bobby Youngblood, Adam Patterson, Jeanette Patterson, Burdex Washington, Bobby Ray Lampton, Delores Foster Harry, Sandra Pearson, Linda Payne, Inella Johnson, Brelane Edwards, Barbara Taylor, Katie D. Powell, Essie Lee Bickham, Joe Brown III and Don Brunfield.
