Country Super Store Robbery Suspect Wanted

WASHINGTON PARISH, La. – Detectives with the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office are seeking the community’s help in solving a recent burglary attempt at the Country Super Store, which occurred in the early morning hours of January 23, 2024.

While no entry into the store was successful, the presence of a suspect with tools in the parking lot has raised concerns among investigators.

“We are calling upon our community members, neighbors, and all individuals who may have information related to this incident to come forward,” said Candice Sledge, Public Information Officer for the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office. “Your tips, observations, and assistance in identifying the suspect in the attached photograph are crucial in developing the necessary evidence to bring those responsible to justice.”

Authorities have identified two potential suspects but have yet to establish corroborating evidence linking them definitively to the crime, according to Lieutenant Corbet Hunt, who is serving as the contact person for this case, of the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office.

In conjunction with their plea for information, the Sheriff’s Office has released a photograph of a suspect believed to be involved in the incident.

“We believe that the collective power of our community can help shed light on this incident and provide the authorities with the vital information they need to move forward,” Sledge stated.

Anyone with information regarding this case is encouraged to contact Lieutenant Corbet Hunt at the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office. Tips can also be submitted directly through the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office website at wpso.la.gov.
