FRANKLINTON, La. – Members of the G.R.I.T. S. Red Hat Group gathered at Bogue Chitto Cafe in Franklinton to celebrate in January. Hosted by Nellie Smith, the event featured a prayer led by Lorell Morris and a blessing for the meal.

Attendees were treated to homemade brownies and Mississippi mud for dessert. A game of white elephant added to the evening’s entertainment. Lorell Morris, celebrating her January birthday, was serenaded with birthday wishes by the group.

Door prizes were distributed, with every attendee winning a prize. Inclement weather prevented some members from attending the gathering.

Attendees praised the food and service provided by Bogue Chitto Cafe. The gathering showcased the group’s camaraderie and provided an opportunity for members to come together and enjoy each other’s company.
