Ida Lou Henry, August 4, 1934 to December 18, 2023.
“I have fought a good fight. I have kept my course. I have kept the faith”. 2 Timothy 4:7
Ida Lou Henry was a former resident of New Orleans, LA until she moved to Cypress, TX to live with her daughter Vada Moses until she departed this life on December 18, 2023, at the age of 89. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Algiers in New Orleans under the leadership of Pastor Albert Pendarvis until her health failed her. She listened to the broadcasts faithfully every day until she passed. A Homegoing Memorial will be held on January 27, 2024 at 12 Noon at Sunlight MB Church Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents Otis “Big Chote” and Sarah Henry, siblings David “Nay” (Jodean) Henry, Leroy “T” (Edna Pearl) Henry and Savannah Peters, daughter Maye E Jones and grandson Dwight Keith Jones.
She leaves to cherish her memories daughter Vada Moses, 2 Grandsons Kenneth Moses of Spring, TX Carlos Moses of Picayune, MS 1 granddaughter Stacy Jones of New Orleans, LA a special nephew Amos(Yolanda)Henry and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Repass will be held at the home of MS Evelyn Weary in Varnado, LA
