BOGALUSA, La. – Following hours of continuous rainfall, much like in the past few weeks, reports indicate that flash flooding has affected several areas across the parish. While the region has already endured a significant amount of rain, more is expected in the coming days.

Today’s Forecast:

Residents of Washington Parish should brace themselves for a day filled with wet and stormy weather. Showers and thunderstorms are on the horizon, especially before 1 pm, with some storms possibly bringing heavy downpours. Additionally, patchy fog is likely to linger until noon. Despite the stormy conditions, temperatures are forecasted to peak near 73°F. Expect a south wind blowing between 5 to 10 mph. The chance of rain is high at 90%, with new rainfall amounts expected to range between a quarter to half an inch.

 

Tonight’s Outlook:

As night falls, the potential for showers and thunderstorms persists. Showers are likely, with the chance of a thunderstorm after 3 am. Patchy fog may develop after 10 pm, reducing visibility. The night will remain cloudy, with temperatures dropping to around 62°F. Winds will calm down, shifting eastward at about 5 mph after midnight. The chance of rain remains significant at 70%, with new rainfall amounts projected to be between a tenth to a quarter of an inch, although higher amounts are possible in thunderstorms.
