The roots of the Sullivan Vocational Foundation trace back to its establishment in 1999, courtesy of a generous gift from Washington Parish resident Lucy Robbins. The foundation’s overarching purpose is to champion and nurture vocational and technical education by channeling resources into scholarships and endowments. Throughout its existence, the foundation has been a stalwart supporter of NTCC’s Sullivan Campus, annually bestowing 5-12 scholarships to deserving students enrolled in various programs. In 2016, the Sullivan Vocational Foundation took a significant step forward by establishing an endowed scholarship specifically dedicated to Health Sciences.
This endeavor was carried out in collaboration with the Northshore College Enhancement Foundation, solidifying the foundation’s commitment to diverse fields of study within the vocational and technical spectrum. The impact of the Sullivan Vocational Foundation’s philanthropy extends beyond mere financial assistance; it serves as a beacon of hope and empowerment for students aspiring to excel in Construction Trades and Registered Nursing. As the foundation continues its tradition of supporting education, it leaves an indelible mark on the educational landscape of Washington Parish, creating pathways for countless individuals to achieve their academic and professional aspirations.
