Washington Parish House Fire Results in Tragic Fatality

WASHINGTON PARISH, La. – A devastating house fire in Mt. Hermon, resulted in the death of an elderly man and left another individual injured, as confirmed by the Louisiana Office of the State Fire Marshal.

Late last night, Washington Parish firefighters rushed to the scene at the 38000 block of Bill Simmons Road. Upon arrival, they discovered one victim outside the home with injuries, who was promptly transported to a local hospital. Further investigation inside the residence led to the heartbreaking discovery of an elderly man’s body.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No additional details are available at this moment.
