Charlene Stogner Corkern, 94, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully and went home to be with the Lord on December 23, 2023. She was a member of Lee’s Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by her two daughters, Peggy Megehee of Bogalusa and Betty Corkern (Lynn) Roberts of Marrero, LA. She was the adored grandmother of Amanda Tullos (David) Pritchard of Bogalusa, Greg (Heidi) Tullos of Bogalusa, Katie Roberts (Stephen) Ricouard of Belle Chasse, Amy Corkern (Shane) Weaston of Fulshear, TX, Charley (Kylie) Corkern of Eustis, NE and her honorary grandson, Chase (Callie) Anderson of Franklinton, LA. Her great-grandchildren include Taylor (Alyssa) Pritchard, Blaire Pritchard, Sydnei, Lydia, and Luke Tullos, Brayden and Mason Rose, Beau and Rhett Ricouard, Samantha, Madison and Kate Weaston, and Adalyn and Cheyenne Corkern.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred M. Corkern and her son, Charles Roland Corkern. Two sisters, Nell Hardison and Onetia Jenkins and one brother, Charles Stogner.

She lived a full life and could always be found working in her yard or sitting on her porch watching and listening to the birds. She loved her family and instilled good values in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren that have served them well. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, December 27th, 2023, from 10:00am – 1:00pm at Lee’s Creek Baptist Church with the services to begin at 1:00pm. Burial will follow in Hillview Memorial Gardens.
