Emergency at Bogalusa Walmart: Man Self-Harms with Store Knife

BOGALUSA, La. – Around 5:00 P.M. someone went into the local Walmart and began mutilating their arm. The staff called 911, to which the Bogalusa Police Department responded to an adult male suffering from a mental health crisis, according to Assistant Chief of Police Troy Tervalon.
The unnamed suspect obtained a knife from one of the display cases and began cutting himself on his arm. Officers and responding EMS subdued the suspect and transported him to Our Lady of the Angels hospital for treatment.
