BOGALUSA, La. – Krewe of MCCA has proudly announced its regal leaders for the upcoming 2024 season: Jamey Sheridan as King MCCA XLIV and Nicole Watson McGehee as Queen. As the owner of Sheridan’s Custom Cabinetry, he has spent over 25 years honing his craft and building a reputable name in the cabinet business.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Sheridan has been a dedicated member of the MCCA for twelve years, serving in various capacities, including treasurer, lieutenant, and duke of Wahoo. His commitment to community service extends to his involvement with Annunciation Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, the Open Road Cruisers car club, and serving on the Bogalusa Country Club Board.
An outdoors enthusiast, Sheridan enjoys fishing, hunting, and river outings with friends and his faithful retriever, Tank. He is eagerly anticipating a vibrant and joyful reign as MCCA King XLIV.
Queen MCCA XLIV: Nicole Watson McGehee
Nicole Watson McGehee, an accomplished dental hygienist and community leader, joins as Queen MCCA XLIV. Graduating from Bogalusa High School alongside Sheridan in 1990, she furthered her education at Louisiana State University and Pearl River Community College. McGehee’s professional career spanned two decades working with the late Dr. Gary Parker.
Her community engagement is extensive, being a charter member of the Ladies of Vogue since 2011 and involved with the Dogwood Ladies League, Bogalusa Country Club, and the Bogalusa Civic League. McGehee, along with her husband Bryan and son Collin, a guard in the Royal Court of MCCA XXXVII, is well-regarded in the community as the owner of McGehee Outdoor Equipment in Covington.
A member of Superior Avenue Baptist Church, McGehee’s dedication to her faith and community is evident. Her ascension to the throne of Queen MCCA XLIV is seen as a fitting tribute to her years of service and involvement in the Bogalusa community.
