Early Morning High-Speed Pursuit Ends in Arrest on Pickwick Road

Deputies from the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office actively supported the Bogalusa Police Department (BPD) in a high-speed chase early this morning. The pursuit, starting along Highway 21N, involved a vehicle with a Mississippi license plate.

Extending into Marion County, the chase tested local law enforcement’s resolve. Despite law enforcement deploying spike strips, the suspect’s vehicle evaded them. The pursuit culminated on Pickwick Road, where the female driver left her vehicle and tried to flee on foot.

Quick and strategic action by deputies and BPD officers led to the suspect’s apprehension without further incident. Authorities soon declared the situation “code 4,” indicating no need for additional assistance and no continued threat to public safety.
