Christmas in Cassidy Opening Night: Bogalusa Prepares for Festive Celebration

The City of Bogalusa, under the leadership of Mayor Tyrin Truong, is set to host the opening night of Christmas in Cassidy. This year’s event includes a lineup of activities designed to engage the community and visitors.

Parade at 5 PM: The evening will commence with a parade. This event is expected to feature local groups and organizations participating in a festive procession.

Park Opens from 6 to 9 PM: Following the parade, Cassidy Park is scheduled to be open to the public from 6 PM until 9 PM. The park has been prepared for the holiday season and will be accessible for an extended period this evening. Entry is $5 per person, with children under 2 getting in free.

Fireworks at 8:45 PM: A fireworks display is planned for 8:45 PM. This event is intended to serve as the culmination of the night’s celebrations.

Despite challenges, including missing commission property and rumors of a potential cancellation of the fireworks show, the opening night is proceeding as planned. Mayor Truong has indicated that the preparation for this event has continued unabated.
