Bogalusa Officer Injured in Single-Vehicle Crash

BOGALUSA, La. – In an incident early on Friday, December 1, Bogalusa Police Officer Gage Tervalon was involved in a serious single-vehicle crash.

The Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office (WPSO) was among the first responders to the accident scene, alongside members of the Bogalusa Police Department and Louisiana State Police. Upon arrival, they discovered Officer Tervalon, who is the son of Bogalusa Police Department’s Acting Assistant Police Chief Troy Tervalon, trapped and unconscious in his vehicle, according to a WPSO spokesperson.

The circumstances surrounding the crash involving Bogalusa Officer Gage Tervalon remain unclear, with further details to be released in the coming days. Rescue efforts at the scene were swift, and Tervalon was transported promptly by ambulance to Lakeview Hospital in Covington for medical care.

The Louisiana State Police are leading the investigation into the crash.
