BOGALUSA, La. — The Washington Parish Republican Women recently contributed to the Southeast Louisiana Pregnancy Center for Women and Children, located at 502 Avenue F. This donation, including two televisions, two wall mounts, and a gift card, is part of the community’s effort to support the center, which plans to begin operations in January 2024.

The center’s services are extensive, offering free pregnancy testing, ultrasounds for expectant mothers, and an array of support materials such as maternity and baby clothes for children up to age 4. Additionally, the center will provide parenting classes, pregnancy education, car seats, cribs, and referrals for first-time mothers for nurse-family partnerships. Rooted in Christian values, the center aims to uphold the sanctity of human life, provide material, educational, and emotional support, promote sexual purity, and share the gospel of Jesus Christ.

In attendance at the donation event were notable members of the Washington Parish community, including Senator Beth Mizell, Representative Malinda White, Washington Parish Republican Women Club President Janene Dunaway, President-elect Suzi Bourne, Secretary Stacy Thomas, Vice-President-elect Kim Wagner, and Director Clelie L. Dugan.

This contribution by the Washington Parish Republican Women underscores the community’s commitment to supporting expectant mothers and children. For more information or to find out how to contribute to this cause, interested parties can contact Director Clelie L. Dugan, Ph.D., RN, at 985-241-5234.
