Bogalusa Shooting: Police Investigate Avenue K Incident

BOGALUSA, La. – A shooting incident rattled a residential area in Bogalusa on the afternoon of Wednesday, November 29th. Initial reports indicated the sound of gunshots, followed by the sighting of a burgundy vehicle hastily leaving the scene. A witness described seeing a black male extending what appeared to be a semi-automatic weapon out of the vehicle’s window.

UPDATE: In a recent development, acting Bogalusa Police Chief Percy Knight provided an update on the situation. “On Wednesday, November 29th, at approximately 12:18 PM, a burgundy vehicle with a black male was witnessed shooting at two residences on the corner of Ave. J and W. 11th St.,” Chief Knight stated. He also confirmed that around 15 shell casings were found on W. 11th St. Fortunately, there were no reports of injuries. However, the suspect remains unidentified at this time.
