In light of the upcoming thunderstorm, the much-awaited “Christmas in Cassidy” event and the Bogalusa Christmas Parade in Washington Parish have been rescheduled to Sunday, December 3rd, according to the City of Bogalusa.

Revised Schedule

The revised schedule sees the Christmas Parade starting at 5:00 P.M., with the Opening Night in Cassidy Park following from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. This change accommodates families, considering the next day is a school day. Coinciding with this announcement, Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church has decided to withdraw its participation from the parade due to the rescheduled date.

Event Attractions Remain Unchanged

Despite the change in date and the church’s withdrawal, the event will still feature its wide array of attractions. These include live performances, a mega bonfire, pony rides, a petting zoo, inflatable fun, an outdoor theater, and various food and craft vendors. The event’s highlight, meeting Santa in a whimsically decorated village, remains a key attraction, promising to bring the festive spirit to life.
