Maxine Keaton Landrum went home on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at the age of 84. She was the third of four children in the family of Ida Elizabeth Seal Keaton and Ellis Keaton of Angie, LA. She was born on July 2nd, 1939, at the Keaton home in Angie, LA.

Maxine was married on January 31, 1956, to her late husband and lifelong companion, Quitmon Landrum of Bogalusa, LA. Nine years later, they were sealed as eternal companions for time and all eternity on July 14, 1964, in the Mesa, Arizona Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She worked at Crown Zellerbach in the multiwall division and retired from Dollar General. She also enjoyed working at the polls during election time. She loved serving the people of her church and community. Maxine was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Bogalusa.

Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Quitmon Landrum; daughter, Marcia Jill; her parents; and three sisters, Elena Christine, Ernestine (Gerald), and Avaline Forbes – Hopkins.

Maxine’s living children include, Sybil Rena Moon of Lexington, NE; Malcolm Ray Landrum of Haslet, TX; and James Dale Forbes of St. George, UT. Maxine also has twenty grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 9:00 A.M. until time for the service at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Randy Helm officiating the service. Interment to follow at Keaton Cemetery in Angie, LA.
