It is with heavy hearts and deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of former Bogalusa native, Marcus Leo Weems. Marcus transitioned peacefully to his new heavenly home in NW Atlanta, GA on Monday, November 13, 2023. Marcus was the loving son of Ardis Neal Weems & Cheryl Arnette Brice Weems. He was a devoted brother to Jessica, Mary, and Matthew Weems. He also leaves God Parents Kenneth and  Clorinda Roberts Sr. & a God Brother Kenneth Wayne Roberts Jr. He was a committed uncle to Terrance Mingo Jr, De’Karter Watts, and Josiah Weems. Marcus was a successful product of the Bogalusa City School where he graduated from Bogalusa High School in 2008.

After college Marcus attended the University of Southern Mississippi where he revived a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology in May of 2014. After furthering his education Marcus found a new career in Real Estate Investment Trust Industry in the Atlanta, Georgia area in 2015. Marcus had a gentle and loving soul that always saw the good in those around him. Marcus leaves behind his parents, siblings, his Beloved Aunt Latoya Foster (Ulysses Graham Jr.) of Chicago IL, and  Beloved Uncle Willie A.R Brice of Naples, FL, and a host of other family members and friends that will miss him beyond worldly expression. Funeral arrangements will be provided by Cook-Richmond Funeral Home and arrangements will be held at Kingdom of God Church on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at noon.

Visitation will be Friday, November 24, 2023 time TBD.
