WASHINGTON PARISH, La. — Residents can expect a week of weather transitions, starting with a pleasant evening and the possibility of showers later in the week. Here’s your Thanksgiving week weather forecast, according to the National Weather Service in New Orleans:

Tonight (11/19): The evening will feature mostly clear skies before turning partly cloudy, as temperatures settle around 50°F. Light southeast winds at approximately 5 mph will provide a gentle breeze.

Monday (11/20): Monday will mark a change in the weather pattern. The morning will begin with partly sunny conditions, but as the day unfolds, clouds will dominate the sky. There’s a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon, with highs reaching the mid-70s. Southeast winds will pick up, blowing at 10-15 mph, occasionally gusting up to 25 mph.

Monday Night (11/20): Monday night will see a shift in conditions with showers and a chance of thunderstorms. Overnight temperatures will remain relatively mild, in the lower 60s. Winds will shift from south to southwest after midnight, maintaining speeds of 10-15 mph. The likelihood of rain increases significantly to 90 percent.

Tuesday (11/21): Tuesday will bring mostly cloudy skies, accompanied by a slight chance of morning showers and thunderstorms. Daytime highs will peak in the upper 60s before dropping to the lower 60s in the afternoon. Northwest winds at approximately 10 mph, with gusts reaching up to 20 mph, will provide some relief from the humidity. The chance of rain decreases to 20 percent.

Tuesday Night (11/21): Tuesday night will remain mostly cloudy with a much cooler feel as temperatures drop into the mid-40s. North winds will persist at around 10 mph.

Wednesday (11/22): Wednesday will continue to feature mostly cloudy conditions, with high temperatures in the upper 50s.

Wednesday Night (11/22): Wednesday night holds a 20 percent chance of showers, with overnight lows in the lower 40s.

Thanksgiving Day (11/23): Thanksgiving Day will be partly sunny, but there’s a 40 percent chance of showers. High temperatures are expected to reach the upper 50s.

Thursday Night (11/23): Thursday night will bring mostly cloudy conditions with the possibility of evening showers. Lows will dip into the lower 40s, with a 30 percent chance of rain.

Friday through Saturday Night (11/24-11/25): As the weekend approaches, expect partly cloudy skies, with highs in the mid-60s and lows in the mid-40s.

Sunday (11/26): Sunday will be partly sunny, offering a pleasant end to the week with highs in the mid-60s.
