Tricia Wood Thomas is a successful businesswoman from Washington Parish who recently won the MS Woman United States title at the United States National Pageant. She is an accomplished speaker and a congressional advocate for the Alzheimer’s Association. Tricia is also a committee member of the Northshore Alzheimer’s Association.

Tricia is a strong supporter of the Alzheimer’s Impact Movement (AIM) Advocacy Forum, which she promoted during her recent visit to Washington, DC. Despite the loss of her father, Hubert Wood, on Christmas Eve, Tricia is committed to raising awareness about Alzheimer’s disease. She is an author and speaker emphasizing the importance of early detection and recognizing warning signs of Alzheimer’s. She also believes in providing respite for those who care for their loved ones suffering from this condition.

Tricia wrote and published “12 Steps to Journaling for Caregivers” in honor of her father. The book features daily devotionals and focuses on the caregiver’s healing process. The majority of the proceeds from the book go towards the Alzheimer’s Association.

As MS Woman United States, Tricia will continue to advocate for Alzheimer’s by participating in walks and attending the AIM conference in Washington, DC annually.
