FRANKLINTON, LA – The Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office is committed to ensuring the safety of all fairgoers at this year’s Washington Parish Fair. To further enhance security measures and provide peace of mind for parents and guardians, Sheriff Randy “Country” Seal is pleased to announce the distribution of “Wristbands for Lost Children & Adults” at the fairgrounds.
Located conveniently at our Command Post near the entrance to the midway, these wristbands offer a simple yet effective solution for reuniting lost children or adults with their families. The Sheriff’s Office recognizes that crowded events like the fair can be overwhelming, and instances of separation can occur. These wristbands are designed to minimize such incidents by providing an easy way to contact a responsible adult in case of emergency.
Each wristband will have space to write down the name and contact number of a responsible adult or guardian. This information will be kept confidential and used only in the event of a lost individual needing assistance. Sheriff Seal and his dedicated team will be on hand to provide support and assistance in such situations, ensuring a swift and safe reunion.
The Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office strongly recommends that parents and guardians take proactive measures to ensure the safety of their children. One crucial step in this regard is to take a picture each day and save the photographs of your child. By doing so, you create a readily available and up-to-date record of their appearance, including what they are wearing. This approach enables law enforcement agencies to have the most accurate and detailed description possible in the event of an emergency or a missing child situation. It is a simple yet effective way to assist authorities in quickly responding to any potential incidents, ultimately enhancing the safety and well-being of our community’s children.
Sheriff Randy “Country” Seal emphasizes the importance of safety at the fair and encourages all attendees to take advantage of this service. “Our priority is the well-being of everyone enjoying the fair,” Sheriff Seal stated. “These wristbands are a simple yet invaluable tool to help us quickly reunite lost individuals with their loved ones. We want everyone to be safe and have a great time at the fair!”
Be sure to visit our Command Post by the Train near the entrance to the midway to obtain your “Wristbands for Lost Children & Adults” during the fair. The Washington Parish Fair is a time for family fun, and with these wristbands, you can have peace of mind while making cherished memories.
